Graydon Chong

Graydon is a Senior Analyst at Rabobank, responsible for research on grain and oilseed markets. Rabobank’s Food & Agribusiness Research and Advisory team is charged with analysing developments in food and agricultural markets and industries, and advising the bank and its clients on strategic implications for their businesses. Comprised of a network of some 80 analysts spread across every major production and consumption region of the world, Food & Agribusiness Research and Advisory is a central component of the bank’s capacity for informed credit decision making, product development, advisory services, and strategic client partnerships. Graydon has an Agricultural Economics degree from the University of Sydney and has had a number of years’ experience in risk management and trading. Graydon has most recently worked for Viterra Ltd where he was responsible for managing their national wheat, barley and sorghum pools. Prior to this, Graydon spent several years at Graincorp in Sydney in their Risk and Grain Marketing Finance departments. Graydon has worked closely with growers and is well versed on the complexity of the grains market. Graydon will be responsible for analysing developments in the domestic grain and oilseed markets, supporting Rabobank’s high-level research in key agricultural sectors. He is also actively supporting the work of Rabobank’s global grains and oilseeds sector team in looking at trade flows across the region, and more broadly at medium-term drivers of grains and oilseeds supply and demand.
